want to know more about nook?
hi there and welcome to nook. i'm rebecca and this is my place to get comfy and crafty. a place to be inspired, and to discover most things wool related, recipes, fabulous finds, and new friends. pull on your coziest of cozies, grab your knitting needles, or next best thing and stay a while.
want to know even more???
kay. here goes! i'm a wife and a stay at home mama to my 3 year old little boy. i began knitting and cross-stitching at the very impressionable age of 8 under the watchful eye of my oma and aunties.
with an early stubbornness and determination in wanting to learn the craft, my very patient family would pick up the dropped stitches, and help my awkward hands through knit and purl. i took a bit of a hiatus, and then was introduced to crochet by a dear friend in 2000. the yarn bug struck again, and i haven't looked back.
this fiber junkie is married to a very patient and loving husband, and has a son who proudly sports his knitted treasures. we live on the island in British Columbia, Canada. lucky me:)
what inspired nook to be?
well, i've spent many years reading and loyally following some lovely blogs! mainly, crafty, domestic, and well you know... the kind that make me want to create. so i thought, well hey.. i've done lots of research, and i love and i mean love anything to do with yarn, needles, and hooks... so here's a space where i get to chat about it! i like that. also, i like to share this crazy obsession with other crazy knitters, and crocheters, and the like. this is a great space to chat, learn, teach, inspire, and create together! yes... i like that too :)
i love hearing from you and encourage you to leave comments! i look forward to our chats, and i promise to do my best to respond to your comments as often as i can.
